Where most festivals act as bandstands for acts to come, do their thing, and go, Soma always aims for something special. This is one of those occasions where special may be an understatement. Renowned Scottish singer-songwriter Eddi Reader and Irish music legend Dónal Lunny will be joined by John McSherry, Dezi Donnelly, and Graham Henderson for a set that will see special arrangements of several of Reader’s songs, interspersed with a selection of tunes by John McSherry and Dezi Donnelly, as well as performances of tunes from the repertoire of Lunny’s classic Coolfin group (that featured John and Graham). This performance promises to be truly unique, and rarely will the term “unmissable” be more appropriate: book your tickets now!
